Why I Can Water

Reuse water is recycled water … water that we have used and treated and is good enough to use again — for some things. That means there is no impact on our drinking water supplies.

Just the opposite, actually. By making use of water, then using it again, we’re being very smart with a limited resource.

Because reusing water is smart and efficient, OASIS users don’t need to limit lawn irrigation to two days per week. Instead, OASIS customers can water any day of the week.

You still need to water before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m., but that’s just being yard smart. Irrigating during the heat of the day isn’t good for plants or water resources.

Even better, when you and your neighbors save water, our limited resources last that much longer. It means we can delay the need to compete for new water supplies or invest in new water treatment and delivery systems. That’s good for the environment, and even better for your drinking water bill because developing new water supplies is expensive.

Speaking of your water bill, you may see savings immediately. Rates for OASIS start at 89 cents per 1,000 gallons, compared to $2.34 for drinking water.
